Wild Life

Alec spent a good part of this weekend seeing and (mostly) hearing the many birds that have gathered around our house on their way south. I think the birds are so plentiful this year because Alec's father has maintained a bird bath in the backyard for the last two years, not to mention that there is a cherry tree. The tree at the front of the house (as featured in this picture, can you spot the bird?) has always been a draw because of the berries.

We have been scouting around for the Chipmunk that appeared in our yard the day we brought Alec home from the hospital (with no luck recently), but there is a red squirrel that we often spot which is also fun to see.

Alec also spent some time this weekend keeping up on his correspondence, so some of you can expect some mail of the Halloween variety ...
