Imagine it. It's your birthday. You are minding your own business at home. Your son calls to you from another room. You walk nearer to him. You see he is holding a pie. You think, "how sweet, he made me a pie". You get closer. Your son says "smell the pie Dad". Eager to oblige (and keen to learn the flavour of said pie), you bend down and put your nose very close to the pie.
