Hard Earned
In case you thought (even just for a second) that we squandered the cash you sent for Alec for Halloween, fear not - I am providing this photo as evidence to the contrary. Alec in fact selected this ensemble on his own after being advised (for the very first time ever) that he could go to a toy store and pick anything he liked because his Great Grandmom/Grandmom and Auntie said so. So here you have it, your hard earned dollars at work. (Also, I picked up a beginner hot wheels set as part of your gift - which I hope will pay off when I'm played out (and sore) from running around the house getting nailed by his sword for being an "evil do-er"). Another thing - Alec's first words when he put the mask on - "if a bad guy comes in here, I'll go 'in pursuit'". I believed him too!

A Photo for Today
...and a little story. Tonight Alec went for chiro (ear infection treatment) and on his way there said "Good thing Dr. Kunat doesn't have a shotter" (note: shotter:needle). This reminded me that though his vaccinations this year involved two needles, he liked the nurse involved and commented that he wanted to go back and see her again.
"Wow," I said "you really don't mind getting needles, do you?"
"Well," he replied "I am thinking that it might be better to call her on the phone".

Santa Clause Parade Day
We love the santa clause parade and today was the big day. We celebrated by having bruch with Alec's good friend Robin and family and walking down to the parade route just in time to get an excellent seat. Here is Alec at the parade looking for (and finding) happiness in the bottom of a cup of hot chocolate.
