So, just as the new year is about to start, we are back to our old tricks in Canada. These pictures were made today in the backyard, where we were anxious to cool off from an enjoyable holiday in Cuba.

I also have some vacation pics to share, but am working off of two cameras right now, so only have half downloaded.

Again, at Sparkles. Here, these boys were surrounded by millions of lights in a veritable winter wonderland. So what were they doing here? Looking for 'the switch' so they could turn them off (and, presumably, back on).

Tonight when we made our annual trip to see the light show at one of our local parks, we had a special guest - Alec's best bud Jase and Jase's Mom, Laura. He was as happy as he looks!

Making the Most of It

So, after accessing the situation (i.e. visible snow), Alec begged me to be allowed to "shovel" before school. After collecting his shovel, he walked out in the driveway and said "ok, where is a pile?". Well, there wasn't one - whatsoever. A good game of outside rocketship saved the day, and we made the most of it.

Possibilities
